VertiCer has concluded an agreement with Bulgarian issuing body SEDA on the recognition of GO issued in Bulgaria for electricity disclosure in the Netherlands. Starting on 1 October 2024 VertiCer will accept GOs cancelled in SEDA’s registry in respect of electricity consumption that takes place in the Netherlands.
Traders and suppliers wishing to use Bulgarian GOs must secure an agreement with an account holder at SEDA to cancel GOs for consumption in the Netherlands. Upon cancellation, SEDA will inform VertiCer that such cancellation took place, following which VertiCer will verify the GOs so cancelled.
Note, such GOs:
- must relate to electricity which (at the moment of cancellation) was produced not more than twelve months ago; and
- must not relate to electricity that was consumed by the operator of the production device (dissemination level 1). Please make sure to acquire GOs that relate to electricity which was transferred over a distribution or transmission system (dissemination level 2).
VertiCer will notify SEDA of the outcome of its verification, and record all GOs that pass validation for use in the relevant fuel mix disclosure. Onward transfer of such GOs shall not be possible.
