VertiCer will continue to offer the cancellation statement. This decision was taken in response to the many comments received from users of guarantees of origin.
Why is the cancellation statement being retained?
VertiCer had previously indicated that the cancellation statement might be discontinued. Before a decision was taken on this matter, users were given the opportunity to express their views.
The feedback showed that many users would like to keep the cancellation statement.
Investigation into alternatives
VertiCer has assessed all the feedback and investigated what other options are available. Together with auditors, it has also looked into alternatives, such as:
- a live download of a CSV file;
- the use of screenshots as evidence.
Decision
Based on the feedback received, VertiCer has decided to retain the cancellation statement in PDF format. This document is important to many users. If an auditor prefers to work with a CSV file, that option will also remain available.
Amendments to the document
The current cancellation statement does not yet fully comply with European regulations. The document is therefore being amended and supplemented with additional information.
VertiCer will inform you as soon as more details about these changes become available.
